Synopsis:

A stunning directing debut from Academy Award-winning actor/director Mel Gibson (Braveheart, The Passion), The Man without a Face is a touching tale of friendship and loyalty, starring Gibson and Nick Stahl (Sin City, In the Bedroom). In Cranesport, Maine, former teacher Justin McCloud (Gibson) has been an outsider since the day he arrived in the peaceful village. For the last seven years, his hideous scarred face and the mystery surrounding his past have made him the object of rumour and scorn. As the only boy in his family, twelve year old Chuck Norstadt is a boy living as an outsider in his own home. Chuck dreams of attending the same military school his father did – but having failed once, he needs help to pass the school’s grueling entrance exam. When Chuck approaches McCloud for help the two soon overcome their fears and differences to develop a strong friendship which transforms their lives.
