Synopsis:

A comedy from John Woo’s (Mission Impossible II, Face/Off) early career, Run Tiger Run is a madhouse style, slapstick tale of mistaken identity. When the estranged son of a billionaire is shocked to find that his father has willed his entire fortune to his four year old brother, Babe Steak, he devises a sneaky plan to do away with the heir. Luckily, Babe Steak meets Benny Shit, a penniless boy living on the streets, and when the two decide to switch identities, deliciously surreal chaos ensue. Legendary HK producer/director Tsui Hark (Once Upon a Time in China, A Chinese Ghost Story) makes a guest star turn as a senile grandfather. A Chinese take on Mark Twain’s The Prince and the Pauper, Run Tiger Run marks the first collaboration of John Woo and Tsui Hark, who went on to revitalise the HK film industry with A Better Tomorrow.
