Synopsis:

Pandaemonium tells the story of two of history's most acclaimed poets; Samuel Coleridge and William Wordsworth. The film explores their turbulent friendship, set against the back-drop of 18th century political radicalism. Pandaemonium brings together an impressive array of hot British acting talent which inlcudes, Linus Roache (as the drug-addicted Coleridge), John Hannah (as Wordsworth), Samantha Morton (as Coleridge's wife) and Emily Woolf (as Wordsworth's sister). From acclaimed director, Julian Temple (The Great Rock and Roll Swindle) Pandaemonium takes a contemporary spin on the themes of creativity and excess. "Temple succeeds magnificently in suggesting the wild spirit of the poets' youths and bringing the past alive to audiences for whom poetry is usually an irrelevance". Geoff Brown, The Times
